The West Virginia Sixty-Five
We have three darling kittens and their mother that have just completed rehabilitation and are ready for permanent homes! These cuties are part of the now infamous, "West Virginia 65" cat rescue project from a hoarding situation earlier this summer. Sixty-five cats were rescued and distributed to various fosters, rescues, shelters and other kind hearts across the Eastern United States. We still have several available for adoption at the Farm!
Update 12/30/15: Two of these darling kittens have been adopted! Due to ongoing health issues, the Starlight Farm Animal Sanctuary board has determined that it is in the best interests of Annabelle and Sliverbelle (mother and remaining kitten) to become permanent residents of the Sanctuary. We welcome them to the family!
Bruce the Bat
We sometimes rescue wildlife! This little bat hit a hi-rise building in downtown Knoxville and needed a place to rest and rehab briefly before being released! SFAS thanks Bat World Sanctuary for their assistance with providing the knowledge and expertise necessary to help this little one!
